Deniz Özkan is a faculty member in the Department of Psychology at Marmara University.

She earned her B.A. in Western Languages and Literatures, with a minor in Linguistics, from Boğaziçi University in 2006, and completed her Ph.D. in Psychology at Koç University in 2022. Between 2006 and 2010, she pursued doctoral-level coursework in linguistics, psycholinguistics, and language development at the City University of New York, New York University, and Brown University.

Her research primarily focuses on psycholinguistics, with particular emphasis on language learning and processing in both children and adults, child language development, and individual differences within these domains.
